Client Testimonials

'Alexa has proofread much for us at CWR, from children and youth titles to more complex publications. I can confidently recommend her for her attention to detail and exceptional work ethic. She always goes the extra mile to help us with our deadlines and can take a great amount of work and pressure in her stride.'

Katie Carter, editor at CWR, Surrey

'I've worked with Alexa on numerous copy editing projects over the last few years and have been delighted with both the standard of her work and the timely manner in which she delivers it. She is a true professional!'

Stephen Davison, author

'Alexa provides a very efficient and professional proofreading service. Work was completed on time to an agreed deadline. I can thoroughly recommend her work.'

Philip Neale, author

'Alexa provided an outstanding service when she edited my 85,000 word novel. She turned around large volumes of pages very quickly - often working "above and beyond" the call of normal office hours - and always with good humour. I have since recommended her without hesitation to authors within my network, knowing she will commit herself fully to each book as if it were her own.'

Rob Chidley, author

'In my business, everything needs to be clear, concise, accurate and easily understood. This is exactly the precision Alexa consistently applies to my written documents, reports and correspondence. Highly recommended and invaluable to my practice.'

Hugh Wray-McCann, Director, Wray-McCann Architect Limited, Devon and Norfolk

In addition to my editorial and writing work, I also perform as an actor, storyteller and voiceover artist.

Merry Christmas & a peaceful New Year

Posted on Wed, 24 Dec 2014 09:25 by Alexa

Been a bit quiet this last few months. Work has been very hectic so there's been lots to talk about but very little time in which to do the talking! Fabulous writing projects on the go, plenty of proofing and editing, and lots of acting with Moonstone Theatre - currently performing as the evil queen in a mini pantomime at Babbacombe Model Village in Torquay. Oh yes I am!

Will update my book page as soon as I can with all the new publications.

Meantime, I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful New Year full of all the things you wish for.

Love x

Happily working away at the moment on book two of a new series of four books for children. The series is due for release next year.

And what fabulous summer weather! My laptop and I have frequently found ourselves working in the garden during the last couple of months, in the shade of the apple tree. Bliss ...

My Month With Mrs Potter

Posted on Fri, 6 Jun 2014 12:15 by Alexa

My screenplay for MonkeyDribble Film's feature, 'My Month With Mrs Potter', is now in production. The first week sounds as though it's been a blast! Main location looks brilliant and the weather has been kind. Can't wait to join cast and crew in ten days or so to film my scenes as Morwenna Coulson.

For regular updates and fantastic photos from the shoot, please see and like the Facebook page - My Month With Mrs Potter. You can follow on Twitter too @mrspotterfilm.

In other news, I've now begun work on planning out some new writing projects. So all good here. x

Feature goes into production!

Posted on Fri, 16 May 2014 11:39 by Alexa

The Pens Activity Bible for 3- to 6-year-olds is now out! Available direct from CWR and all the usual on-line outlets too. It looks fantastic. Another wonderful, colourful job by CWR's clever design team. Simple re-tellings of Bible stories (some of the not so well known ones are in there) are complemented by fun little puzzles and activities. Would make a lovely present for young ones.

I've also been working on a feature screenplay for MonkeyDribble Films over the last few months, and I'm very excited to annouce that the film goes into production on 30 May! Not only that, but I've been cast in one of the supporting roles. Summer's off to a great start!

More Pens news

Posted on Tue, 15 Apr 2014 16:18 by Alexa

Lots of activity on the 'Pens' front so far this year! And to add to it, I've just completed 'Pens' book 23. It's now with the publishers, CWR, and probably being edited as I type! Mike Henson's artwork is always fabulous. Look forward to seeing how he illustrates this latest batch of 'Pens' adventures.

Now on to book 24 ...

And for a last minute Easter treat, there's also a 'Pens' Easter special book. You can buy it from all the usual on-line outlets, and direct from CWR by copying and pasting the link below:

Happy Easter! And long may the sun continue in its sunnyness. x
